Becoming a Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) operator can be challenging, but this guide simplifies your steps. Whether you’re interested in joining popular TNVS companies like Grab, Angkas, MoveIt, or JoyRide, this comprehensive guide will walk you through the necessary procedures for registering for a Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) in 2024.

What is a Certificate of Public Convenience?

A Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) is an official authorization from the LTFRB that allows individuals or entities, such as cooperatives and corporations to operate land transportation services for the public legally. Unlike franchises that may need municipal or legislative approval, a CPC acts as a comprehensive permit for common carriers. Although it does not grant ownership of a specific route, it ensures adherence to government regulations and standards.

What is TNVS?

Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) refers to a modern ride-hailing system facilitated by Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) within the country. TNVS encompasses various forms of transportation, including car and taxi services provided by companies like Grab, as well as motorcycle rides offered by platforms such as Angkas and JoyRide. This innovative service model leverages technology to connect passengers with drivers through mobile applications, enhancing convenience and accessibility in urban transportation.
